Larry Gottesdiener

Primary Investor, Managing Partner 

Larry Gottesdiener became the primary investor and managing partner of the Atlanta Dream in February 2021 and is responsible for setting the long-term strategic vision for the organization with the goal of creating a model franchise in women’s sports, underpinned by core values of respect, integrity, and inclusivity. His priorities include investing in the players, the organization and the Atlanta community, as well as providing onramps into the business of sports for former WNBA players.

Gottesdiener is the Founder and Chairman of Northland Investment Corporation, a $10 billion real estate platform where he oversees long-term strategic direction. Today, Northland employs more than 650 people in 16 states with a real estate portfolio that includes more than 26,000 multifamily units and 2.1 million square-feet of commercial space. Northland has been recognized by industry members on lists that include Best Places to Work in Multifamily, and the firm focuses on philanthropic initiatives to empower women, combat racism and end homelessness. Northland has a strong presence in the Atlanta area with six communities across Georgia and a development site in Midtown. 

Gottesdiener earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University.
